Obituary of Helen Convey

Helen M. Convey, 98, of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2012 in St. Luke's Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Helen was born September 24, 1913 in Central Islip, Long Island, NY. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Marie Muller. Helen and her late husband Frank have lived in the Warren County area for 73 years where they owned and operated dairy farms until retiring in 1969. Helen also worked for Washington Auto Parts, Franklin Township School, and Orr's Department Store in Easton and Phillipsburg. Helen was an avid gardener, a member of the St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church in Washington, NJ and the Alter Rosary Society of St. Josephs, and loved solving crossword puzzles. Surviving Helen are her three children, Margaret of Scottsdale, Arizona; Frank Jr. of Dayton, Ohio, and Joseph of Washington, NJ; eight Grandchildren, Alison of Ill; Wiley A. III of Arizona; Claudine of OH; Heather of Toronto; Sherry of NJ; Kimberly of NJ; Colene of PA; Joseph II of Maine, and twelve great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her sister Winifred Lang, of Florida. Funeral arrangements will be conducted by DeVoe Funeral Services, Inc. A mass will be held in St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church at 200 West Carlton Avenue, Washington, NJ, 07882 on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:00AM, followed by graveside services in the St. Josephs Cemetery, Jackson Valley Road, Washington, NJ. A luncheon at Enzo's, 328 West Washington Avenue, Washington will be held immediately after the grave-side services.
