Obituary of Joan McKenna

Joan McKenna, 67 of Washington, NJ died Friday, April 9, 2010 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Joan graduated from Washington High School and went on to pursue a nursing career at Trenton Hospital where she graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1964. She was employed as a Registered Nurse with the Phillipsburg Care Center, Phillipsburg, NJ retiring in 2008, Joan was previously employed by New Rochelle Hospital, Woodland Nursing Home and Baptist Home for the Aged all of New York. She loved her dogs and reading. Joan was born November 28, 1942 in Washington Township, NJ to the late Albert and the late Mary (Fohr) Westervelt. She was the wife of the late Edward McKenna. She is survived by her sister Sara Richline and Her Husband Carl of Washington, two nieces Donna Bell and her husband Ralph, Amy Rodriguez and her Husband Mel and one nephew Ty Richline and his wife Sue. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 am at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. AFuneral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 13th at the DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ.
