Obituary of Anne Kappler

Anne Mooney Kappler 97 of Oxford NJ, died peacefully on Friday March 14th in Warren Haven Nursing Home Mansfield Twp NJ. She was born in Oxford May 15, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Matthew and Mary (Sexton) Mooney. Anne had been a school Secretary for the Oxford Central School for many years.. She was a member of the Oxford Furnace and Belvidere Senior Citizens Clubs, she was very active in local community affairs. Anne was a member of the Oxford Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. At one time she was an Election official for Oxford Twp. For many years she was a very active member of St Rose Of Lima Catholic Church as well as a member of the Alter Rosary Society. Her loving husband Francis Kappler preceded her in death. Surviving her are 6 sons Vince and his wife Susan of Newton NJ, Joseph and his wife Felice of Belvidere, James and his wife Jeanne of Brick, Daniel and his wife Laurel and Robert Kappler both of Oxford NJ, and Kevin and his wife Patricia of White Twp. NJ. a daughter Mary Kappler of Phillipsburg NJ, and a sister Helen Butler of Hampton NJ. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is predeceased by a son Thomas, a brother, Matthew Mooney Jr, and sisters Caroline Mooney, Margaret Zanks, Mary Mooney and Agnes Money. Family and friends may call at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ on Thursday March 20th from 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:30 AM St Rose of Lima Catholic Church Oxford N.J. Interment will follow in the St Rose of Lima Cemetery.
