Obituary of Joseph Emery Samuel
It fills our hearts with comfort,
Instead our eyes with tears;
As we remember our memories
made throughout the years.
Times so very special,
we all hold so near and dear.
When we're down and feeling sad,
A vivid memory comes in so clear.
The smell of afternoon brunch.
Or a fishing line pulled tight.
Waxing your truck so shiny,
and catching lightning bugs at night.
We'd belt those notes so high;
blasting music to the max.
Feeling grateful to recite Pearl Jam,
reminiscing in flashbacks.
Your love never spread too thin;
Manners always were a must.
You taught us to show respect,
and how to earn your trust.
These very cherished moments,
Once only a time of simple bliss.
Just goes to show how many ways,
you're forever sadly missed.
From your childhood in Neshanic,
To the cabin in Sugar Run,
Chatting about a life we dream,
Playing the lottery & if we won.
While you may have left us too early,
You're right where you are meant to be.
Reunited with Grandma and Pop Pop,
And most importantly your love, Nancy.
Four children and six grandkids,
All raised on being kind.
A sister and a brother,
are just a few you left behind.
Traditions are our keepsake.
Not materialistic things.
Grateful for our time together,
Up until you spread your wings.
