Obituary of Lawrence G. Schmitt

Lawrence "Larry" G. Schmitt age 68, of Little Falls, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Chilton Medical Center.

Larry was born on February 1, 1957, in Orange, NJ, and was the youngest son of the late George A. Schmitt and Gladys (nee Barnes) Schmitt. He was a graduate of Rutgers University, Cook College, and had a long and successful career in Retail Sales Management.

Larry was passionate about bike riding and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and had a warm, engaging personality that touched everyone around him.

Larry is survived by his sister, Beverly (nee Schmitt) Villamil and her husband Richard Villamil, Jr., his brothers, Robert W. Schmitt, Raymond P. Schmitt and his wife Jacqualine, and Richard C. Schmitt and his wife Nicole. He is also survived by his niece and nephew, who loved him dearly.

Friends and relatives are invited to gather and celebrate Larry’s life on Friday, April 11^th from 10:00 until 12:00 PM, words of remembrance will begin12:00PM at the Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 142 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. Inurnment will follow all services at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Washington.
