Obituary of Edna May Chandler

Edna May Chandler, 100, of Oxford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital in Phillipsburg, New Jersey on April 12th, 2025. Edna was born on May 16th, 1924, in Morristown, New Jersey and grew up in Budd Lake. She was the daughter of the late George Albert McLeod and the late Sarah Shimer. 

Alongside her husband Edna owned and operated Ziacoma's Pheasant Farm in Randolph, New Jersey. Throughout her life she also worked for William Spago, Freeholder of Morris County, Mt. Freedom Jewish Center, Stanley and Orke Roofing and during World War II Edna worked for the Picatinny Arsenal. 

Edna was a member of the Captain Daniel Vliet National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. 

Edna is survived by her son John Ziacoma of Anson, Maine, and her daughters Anita Mastogiacomo of Oxford, and Eva Duke and her husband Mark of Oxford. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and by her wonderful friends and neighbors at Highlander Hills Estates where she lived for the past 21 years. 

In additon to her parents and husband Edna was predeceased by her beloved daughters Eileen Ziacoma, Lenora Brodeen, and Elaine Ziacoma. She is also predeceased by her twin brother Albert McLeod, brother George McLeod, brother Robert McLeod, brother John McLeod and by her sister Sarah Shimer Wilson.
