Obituary of Mary Ann Francis Conroy
Mary Ann Conroy, 83, passed away peacefully at her home on April 25, 2026.
Born on April 4, 1943, in Morristown, Mary Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Rose and Matthew Terantino. She was raised in Peapack-Gladstone and carried with her the strength, warmth, and spirited nature that would define her life.
On June 24, 1968, she married the love of her life, Joseph R. Conroy. Together they shared a lifetime of love and devotion until his passing in November of 2024. They built their home and raised their family in Washington, creating a household rooted in love, loyalty, and tradition.
For decades, Mary Ann was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life.
Mary Ann was an exceptional cook and baker who took tremendous pride in preparing meals for those she loved. Her sons will forever cherish memories of her famous tomato sauce, warm chocolate chip cookies, and her cherished Easter specialty, pizza gane as well as many unforgettable homemade soups. She had a quiet personality but never hesitated to speak the truth when needed. Beneath her quiet exterior was a woman whose love for her family ran deep. She will especially be remembered for the unwavering care, devotion, and love she gave to her husband every day until his passing.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving sons, Joseph Conroy and Michael Conroy; her sister, Angela Pericola and her husband Frank; and her cherished grandchildren, Gavin and Ethan Conroy.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph R. Conroy.
All services for Mary Ann will be held privately. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery.
