Obituary of Kaitlyn Elizabeth Domin

Kaitlyn Elizabeth Domin, 32, passed away on May 16, 2026, at her father's home in Auburn, New York.

Born on September 30, 1993, at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Kaitlyn was the beloved daughter of George E. Domin and Kim Domin (née Mohr). She grew up in Warren County and graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School in 2011 before continuing her education at Warren County Community College, graduating in 2014.

A gifted artist with a creative spirit and an entrepreneurial heart, Kaitlyn was the owner and curator of Alchemist Art & Custom Framing in Clinton, New Jersey. Through her work, she shared her passion for art with countless individuals, helping preserve treasured memories and inspiring creativity throughout her community.

Kaitlyn found joy in life's simple and beautiful moments. She loved drawing and painting, creating stained glass artwork, hiking through the woods, traveling with her beloved partner Joe Kappus, and spending time with family and friends. Whether exploring nature, working on a new artistic project, or sharing laughter with those she loved, Kaitlyn embraced life with authenticity, warmth, and imagination.

More than her artistic talents, Kaitlyn will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle soul, and the deep connections she formed with those fortunate enough to know her. She had a unique ability to see beauty where others might not and brought that gift into every aspect of her life.

Kaitlyn is survived by her loving partner, Joe Kappus, and his family; her parents, George E. Domin and Kim Domin; her brother, Jason Mohr, and his wife, Erica; her cherished nieces, Raven and Selina; her grandmother, Joan Mohr (née Thorwarth); and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, George Mohr, and her paternal grandparents, George A. Domin and Jean Domin.

Though her time here was far too short, Kaitlyn's creativity, compassion, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will be treasured always, and her beautiful spirit will never be forgotten.

Funeral arrangements and services will be announced by the family at a later date.
