Obituary of Lily Merritt

Lily Merritt, 86 of Washington Township, NJ, died Saturday in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Lily was born August 15, 1922 in Bolton, England, a daughter of the late John and the late Emma (Rushton) Atkinson. She was employed by Schering Plough Pharmaceutical as a Grant Administrator. Lily enjoyed reading and socializing at the Nutrition Center in Washington. She loved spending time with her family Survivors: Lily is survived by two daughters: Debra Anne Esposito and her husband Edward Esposito of Washington Township, NJ, and Linda Joan Wright and her husband Olin of Verdigris, OK; seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Olin, Kristi, Matthew, Brian, Scott, Mark. She is predeceased by her husband, Carl Eugene Merritt in 1971 and her brother, John Atkinson. Services: Friend and family may call on the family on Wednesday 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm at at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
