Dear family and friends of Bill, I was a classmate of Bill's at Belvidere High School and am so sorry to learn of his passing. I last saw Bill at our 45 class reunion. On behalf of the reunion committee, I wish to express our sincere sympathy at this time to his family and friends. I'm sorry this is so late, but I just found his obituary while looking for another classmate's, Ruth Black Sperling, who just passed away on Dec. 27. I knew Bill to be a quiet and humble guy who was a friend to all, and I will always remember the good times from school. God's blessings for Bill and his family. Sincerely, Millie Carpenter Van Scoten
