Obituary of Roland Eggers

Roland Eggers, 57, of Belvidere, New Jersey passed away at his home on July 1 st , 2023. Roland was born on May 24 th , 1966 in Winsen (Luhe ), Germany to parents Hermann and Traute Eggers. Roland graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School in 1984 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army earning the rank of Army Specialist 4 before receiving an honorable discharge. Upon his return home, Roland worked as an electrician. He also helped out on his family’s Christmas Tree Farm. He became a licensed electrician and continued to work as an electrician for the remainder of his life. Roland enjoyed volunteering for the Palmer Municipal Fire Department for special events. He was also a loving father to his daughter Olivia and his son Mitchell.

Roland loved Jesus ferociously and was deeply committed to the freedom Christ brings. In his free time Roland loved spending time with his children and cherished the times they shared. Roland was also a fan of the outdoors and enjoyed fly fishing and camping; especially with his partner Julie at their ‘hideaway in the hills.’

Roland is survived by his mother Traute Eggers, daughter Olivia Eggers, son Mitchell Eggers, and by his loving partner Julie Wood.

Roland is predeceased by his father Hermann Eggers and by his brother Peter Eggers.

A special thank you to all of his friends who have loved, supported, and stood by him through the good times and the bad. Roland’s friends meant the world to him and he loved them dearly.

This is a small chaplain organization for first responders, Roland encouraged and cheered for FRCC through its conception, development and implementation. He was a strong advocate for the services they provide. Please note that donations are not tax deductible. A private memorial service to be held at a later date.
