Obituary of Eileen D Jones

Eileen D. (nee Savacool) Jones, age 62, of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 22, 2023.  Born on June 7, 1961 in Phillipsburg, NJ, Eileen was the daughter of the late Donald J. Savacool and the late Josephine (nee Morris) Savacool.

Eileen was born and raised in Washington, NJ.  She worked as a housekeeper for Hagedorn State Psychiatric Hospital located in Glen Gardner, for over twenty years until she retired. 

Eileen enjoyed spending her free time doing arts and crafts. She loved spending time with her family, especially her son who she adored.  She will be remembered as a proud and loving mother and aunt with a big heart.

Eileen is survived by her loving son, Michael Jones and his wife Danielle; brothers, Patrick Savacool and his wife Heather, Daniel Savacool and his wife Jan, Donald “Jim” Savacool Jr. and his wife Shirley and Robert Savacool and his wife Anastasia. Also surviving are her many cherished nieces and nephews. Eileen was predeceased by her sister, Donna Savacool.

Family and friends are invited to visit with family on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service located at 142 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. A service of remembrance will be held directly after visitation at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery located at 12 Jackson Valley Rd., Washington, NJ 07882.
