In Loving Memory of Doris Ann Woronowicz (Pierce)

Warrior, Doris Pierce, who valiantly battled metastatic breast cancer for two decades, joined her heavenly family and friends on October 23, 2023. She was born on August 3, 1947, and was a cherished long-time resident of both Hampton and Washington, NJ. Doris was a graduate of Washington High School, and her professional journey began at American Can in Washington. She later embarked on a proud 33-year career with Lipton Tea (Flemington), followed by a fulfilling 17-year tenure at Baker & Taylor (Bridgewater) before retiring.

Doris's vibrant spirit was evident in her love for exploring country stores, playing cards, and going out dancing with friends. She took great pride in decorating and caring for her home, which she joyfully opened to entertain her family on numerous occasions.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Dorothy Woronowicz of Port Murray, NJ. She is survived by her loving brothers, Leonard Woronowicz (Joyce) of Glen Gardner, NJ, and Carl Woronowicz (Rosemary) of Easton, PA. She is also survived by her devoted daughter, April Zwitkowits (John) of Newton, NJ, and her beloved grandson, Cole. In addition, she leaves behind her nephew, Michael Woronowicz (Jessica), and their children, Luke and Aiden of Easton, PA, as well as several cherished cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Doris will be held on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, at 11:30 am at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 500 Hillcrest Blvd, Phillipsburg, NJ. Doris will be remembered for her resilience in the face of adversity, her dedication to family and friends, and her zest for life. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. 

And though she has departed from this earthly realm, Doris's memory will continue to shine brightly, inspiring all who were fortunate to know her. She will forever remain a cherished presence in our lives.
