Obituary of James Drake

James L. “Ducky” Drake, 92, of Buttzville, NJ went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Grace, on Sunday, October 17, 2010. James was born in Townsbury, NJ on June 2, 1918 to the late Albert and Hannah (Faust) Drake. James was predeceased by his wife, Emma Grace Wolfe on October 5, 2004. James proudly served in the Army during World War II from 1943-1944. He retired from Bergen Tool Company in Hackettstown, NJ. Earlier in life he worked at Gobles Garage in Great Meadows, NJ. He was of the Methodist Faith. James is survived by his beloved great-niece and caregiver, Karen Havens, her husband and family, of Oxford, NJ, who will miss him very much and loved him dearly; a step-son, James Richard Wolfe of Angola, NY and several nieces and nephews. James was also predeceased by his sisters, Vivian Guest, Roberta Sisco and Helen Philhower. The funeral service will beheld at 11:00 am on Friday at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. Burial will follow the service in Pequest Union Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, October 22 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
