Obituary of Mayme Unangst

Mayme Thelma Unangst, 92, of Washington, NJ formally of New Village and Stewartsville, NJ passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in the Brakeley Park Center, Lopatcong Township, NJ, with her daughter by her side. Mayme was born on January 13, 1916 in Phillipsburg, NJ a daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah K. (Cyphers) Reimer. She graduated from Washington High School in 1932. Later, she attended and graduated from Churchman's Business School. Mayme was last employed by American Can in Washington, NJ and formally worked for Tidewater Oil Co. and Grumbacher Pencil Factory. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the Senior Nutrition Program in Washington with her neighbors, collecting Hummel's, working in her gardens and playing pinochle. Mayme was a member of the Stewartsville Presbyterian Church and the Delaware Chapter #50 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a trustee of the New Village Chapel and a member of The Ladies Aid Society and the I'll Try Class. Survivors: Her husband Albert Richard Unangst passed away December 1, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her sister Doris Rudolph who died July 23, 2003. Mayme is survived by a daughter Doris Woolf and her husband Gary of Lopatcong Township, NJ and a son Richard Unangst and his wife Tammy of Weatherford, TX; granddaughters, Debby and Dana; great-granddaughters, Tracy and Jessica; a great-grandson, Eric and her great-great-grandchildren, Haley, Ryan And Zachary. Services: Family and friends are invited to call on the family on Monday, June 2, 2008 beginning at 12:00 pm. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 pm at DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc. 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882.
