Obituary of Howard Reed

Howard James Reed, 60, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Howard was born September 23, 1947 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Howard and the late Geraldine (Williamson) Reed. Howard proudly served in the US Navy. He was employed by Warren Hospital as a nurse. Howard was a lifetime member of the Washington Emergency Squad and a past Lieutenant. He was also a member of the Phillipsburg EMS. An avid fisherman, Howard belonged to the Delaware Shad Fishing Association. A model train enthusiast, Howard collected trains focusing on HO size models. Survivors: Howard is survived by his wife, Karen (nee: Stettler) Reed of Phillipsburg, NJ; his three sons, Howard Reed of Nazareth, PA, Shawn Reed of Easton, PA; Matthew Reed of Phillipsburg, NJ; his daughter, Sheila DeRea of Roseta, PA; his brother, Carl Reed of Phillipsburg, NJ and his grandchildren Alena Marie, Ethan, Jaiden. Along with his loving family many friends will miss him. Services: Friends may call Monday, April 14, 2008 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ.
