Obituary of Paul R Spinks

Paul R. Spinks, of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2022 at the age of 71.  Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, in 1950, he was the son of the late Edward and Norma Spinks.  The second-oldest of eight brothers, Paul grew up in Hunterdon County and graduated from North Hunterdon High School in 1968.  He was employed for many years in the Engineering Department at the Hunterdon Developmental Center, and retired as HVAC/R supervisor in 2002.

Paul was an avid NASCAR fan and rarely missed watching the races on Sundays.  He loved his Afghan hound dogs, winter skiing in Colorado, and summer vacations on the Outer Banks, NC. He enjoyed cruising the Caribbean and traveling to Hawaii, Australia, and the West Indies.  He had a quick wit and an easy smile.

Paul will be lovingly remembered by Debe (Langan) Spinks, his wife of 39 years; his seven brothers:  Edward (Rheta), Neil, Dale, Glen (Sheryl), Grant ((Kathy), Craig, and Shawn; his brothers-in-law, Thomas Langan (Angela) and Gregory (Sandy); his sisters-in-law, Melissa (Dennis) Harsley and Celeste Langan; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and a great-grandniece.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, with a prayer service at 1:00 pm.
