Obituary of Daniel Frederick LaBar III

Daniel F. LaBar III, 44, of Raritan, New Jersey, passed away on January 1st , 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Daniel was born on May 20th , 1979 to loving parents Sherry and Daniel LaBar Jr. in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Daniel was raised in Oxford and graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School in 1998. Daniel was married to and predeceased by Jolene Kolakowski in 2008.  Daniel was later married to Megan Frantz-LaBar with whom he had his daughter Avril LaBar. There was nothing in the world that made Daniel prouder than being a father.

Daniel worked for most of his life at Readington Farms as a supervisor dealing with logistics, but most recently worked for the Somerset County Roads and Bridges as a laborer. Daniel was an avid fan of the New York Mets and the San Francisco 49er’s and he never missed a game. Daniel also enjoyed bowling and had been in many leagues over the years, and when the weather permitted, he always had a set of golf clubs in the trunk of his car ready for a round.

Daniel will be forever missed by his beloved daughter Avril LaBar, step-son Gabby (Alex) Rhoades, fiancé Nicole Hennelly, parents Sherry and Daniel LaBar Jr., sister Amy Holland, her husband William (Sean) and their son, and a large extended family.

Daniel is predeceased by his wife Jolene LaBar and their unborn child, great-grandmother Sadie Beer, grandparents Francis and Charlotte Hank, and by his favorite dog Roxy.

Friends and Family may gather to pay their respects on Saturday January 6 th , 2024 from 11am until 12pm at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home and Cremation Service, located at 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington, New Jersey 07882. Following the visitation, a Service of Remembrance will be held at Noon at the Funeral Home. Daniel will be laid to rest at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton, New Jersey.
