Obituary of Ledrew Francis Davis

Ledrew “Tree” Davis, 77, formerly of Easton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at his home in Lehighton on December 19, 2024. Surrounded by family and friends during his final days, Tree was under the compassionate care of Lehigh Valley Hospice.

Born on April 23, 1947, in Washington, D.C., Tree, a diehard Washington Redskin's Fan, was the beloved son of the late Elvin and Alma Davis. He was predeceased by his cherished wife, Denise “Garey” Davis, with whom he shared a beautiful life until her passing in 2011. Known fondly as “Nan” and “Pop” to their grandchildren and many others, Tree and Denise created a loving home full of laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories.

After Denise’s passing, Tree found joy in trips to the casino with his granddaughter and cherished time spent with his family, especially his great-grandchildren. Despite his courageous battle with cancer, Tree’s strength and love for those around him remained steadfast. He now joins his beloved wife in eternal peace and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tree is survived by his loving children: Yvette “Candy” Campanella and her husband Tom of Arizona; Keisha Davis of Allentown, PA; and Ledrew “Garey” Davis and his wife Ashley of Easton, PA. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren—Kavonna (and her husband Ernesto Carranza), Kayla Davis, Ledrew “Tyler” Davis, Shakira Everett, Micah Davis, Yazmin Rivera, Brianna Davis, and Cayden Davis—and five great-grandchildren: Aniyah and Kanelo Carranza, Carson and Kynslee Colliluori, and Anthony Kase Santiago.

Tree is also survived by his siblings: Janet Davis, Shirley Owens, Doris Parker, Francis Brok, Harold Bullett, and Allen Davis. He was predeceased by his sister, Betty Terrell, in addition to his parents and wife.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tree’s life on Sunday, December 29, 2024, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home and Cremation Service, located at 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington, New Jersey 07882. A prayer service and words of remembrance will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
